For those of you who don't know these are posts from my tumblr ask blog The Clone That Got Away (based on the episode "Too Many Pinkie Pies"). To check out the blog click here. To read all of the story posts in order, click here.

This sequence resulted in a bit of controversy, and by controversial I mean drama from readers debating on wether or not Twilight was wrong in destroying the all of the Pinkie Pie clones. While "Too Many Pinkie Pies" is one of my favorite episodes of the MLPFIM series I do think it has a few problems, mostly being how they dealt with the Pinkie clones. It's established earlier on in the episode that the clones don't have all of the same memories Pinkie does (constantly forgetting the names of the her friends), it would have been easier just to ask the clones something only the real Pinkie Pie would know, but instead they go the more complicated route of "Lets have them stare at paint drying cause only the real Pinkie Pie would sit through something so boring for her friends."

Also I was a bit bugged by the scene where Spike points to the real Pinkie acting sad suggesting to Twilight she could be the real one and Twilight responds "Please, the real Pinkie Pie never sat that long in one place her whole life." Listen Twilight I love ya, but you sounded like a jerk there.

I got the feeling the sequence was intended to be more comical, but to me it came off as disturbing. These clones were basically being blasted out of existence just because they don't feel like watching paint dry... That's sounds rather violent (Twilight's expressions during the scene don't help much either).

When I was coming up with the concept of the blog one thought that kept popping up in my head was "What if one of the Pinkie clones saw that scene from the outside? She would be horrified!", hence the the exaggerated dramatic and scary tone here. A lot of people pointed out that Twilight didn't kill the clones but instead sent them back to the mirror pool, but the clone doesn't know that detail. Some people thought I was coming across as too anti-Twilight here, but you have to remember this is all from the perspective of the clone. This is her first day alive, so to her something like this is much more horrifying. Thus this is what causes her to run away.

(Also just to be safe, no mentioning of the recent leak or spoilers in the comments)

maybe is the mysterious pinkie appeard in the interview of rarity's new boutique?

i always think about this episode, but always remind me one (very) disturbing manga episode: in franken fran, one clone escapes from a massive murder, but constantly copies herself, Fran (who was behind the experiment), hunts the clone and anothers clones to prevent a total massive overpopulation of the original girl (very disturbing moment)

indeed, we didn't like the metod, but really the pinkies have the same sense than the original? (all see her dissapear act and didn't react or say anything, so they have the same sense?)
